grocery shopping
I think it's funny that when I was first married I shopped at Safeway because it was close and comfortable (never cared about expensive)
When I went to part time and had Isaac, I started shopping at Winco because I couldn't beat the price difference.
Now with 2 kids, I NEVER go to Winco with the kids...it's all about Fred Meyer. I like the carts, I like the onestop shopping, I like that they bag my stuff. Weird.

Thanksgiving week...
With Isaac out of school for the whole week...
We tried to keep busy.
Monday: Tristan playdate, meeting his mom. Hopefully we will get to see more of him throughout the year.
Tuesday: Shopping and lunch at AC Gilbert House. It's so great having a membership to Coyote Membership in New Mexico (random museum membership found on internet that you can use at lots of places in Oregon).... that is reciprocal to AC Gilbert House. 75/year. It's been very useful this year and last.
Wednesday: Library
Thu: Thanksgiving
Friday: Got off work!!!! Chad did yardwork and school prep..and I entertained the kids by taking them to Costco in Albany (I kinda despise Salem Costco parking lot). Then we went to the park for lunch. It was freezing and I kinda feel bad for subjecting the kiddos to the cold. But I also feel very proud that they are the only kids braving it out there:)
While the kids were napping I did the lights outside....3rd years a charm. We are planning on getting our tree this weekend....probably the earliest ever, but I am soooooo into celebrating the season with decorations and warm hot chocolate.
Tomorrow we are tailgating again (in the rain) with the Pemberton's.
When we talk about what we are thankful for in our house, the main theme is that we are thankful for each other. We are so blessed and I am sooooooooooo thankful for Chad, Isaac and Natalie especially.
I do have some pics but I am out of storage on blogger...and I don't feel like spending money today.

Natalie and Isaac
Isaac:
He loves to drill down a question...now he does it on kind of annoying things...
What's a broom
What does sweep mean
What's a pile
What's collection mean
on and on and on.
Then he will finally say...ok.
He is really loud and bossy and home but seems to be an angel at preschool:)
He is laying foundation for reading, just naturally sounding letters out.
He really loves Grammie. He gets sad that he misses her and asks me if she gets sad about missing him too.
We found his best friend from YMCA at NW kids club and are going to see him at his house next week!
He has a VERY good memory. Things that happened with he was 2... he has talked about to me randomly.
He can count to a 100 with little help.
He is an acoustic learner. He does not sing new songs at school but listens and then can say to me pretty much the whole song on first try. It's a really cool talent because I am not an acoustic learner at all! I bet he will do well in college with all the lectures:)
Natalie...she has the WORST memory.
She is now called Dory (from Finding Nemo)
She is sooooooo helpful and happy but sometimes cannot remember things, like songs, she really is a good dancer while everyone else sings:)
She forgets what item we are looking for in the look and find books:)
She loves to check in with people that are hurt. If someone cough she immediately says, "you ok?"
She likes to put dollies to sleep.
She reminds us to pray at mealtimes.
She is always hungry.
She has a huge natural smile.
She has a cute stomping walk.

visit with grammie and poppa and dashiell...
My parents went on their trip of a lifetime to Germany, Italy and Paris to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary (WOW~!) While I have seen my mom for lunch multiple times, we have also done video calls but we have not visited since end of september...we missed Grammie and Poppa....
Jason and Malia (and Dashiell and baby boy #2) are living with my parents while in between on houses. Malia had a well deserved girls night out, and Jason was busy working on new house, so that means....COUSIN TIME!!!!!
Dashiell and Isaac are the only ones who are interested to look at Europe pics (I swear I will look at pics another day:))
This is where she lived as a young girl in Germany
Where the wild things are....
The next morning...playing with toy that he got from G and P
Weirdest sibling game EVER!
