Family Day...they missed us!

My bro texted me and said he really wanted to come down and visit. I love family visits! And he wanted to spend the night too. Double love it. Slumber party!

Of course, mom and dad came down for the afternoon too.

Day 15: Thursday July 22, 2010 Elk Grove, Ca to Medford, OREGON!

Lunch break in Redding, CA at where else... IN n OUT. I mean, it's the last time we will have it in awhile.

Very weird DE-ICER truck in 90 degree heat. Pretty random if you ask me.

We were seriously considering driving straight through to Salem this night. It would get us home around 9 or 10. And the family seemed to be all on the same page but just as we entered Medford, for a feeding break, Isaac started freaking out and whining and Natalie was fussing, and I was fussing, so we said, Medford it is!

Day 14

Day 14: Wednesday July 21, 2010 Bakersfield, Ca to Elk Grove, CA (south of Sacramento)

The Holiday Inn Express (my fav hotel on this journey) was right next to an old navy and best buy. It was fun to just walk and shop.

I HAD to get isaac toy story (original) and although we were going to save it for the next day in the car, we just couldn't resist to watch it that night.

We really felt like pizza and ordered papa johns delivery straight to the hotel room. 2 medium pizzas for 19.99 and we had leftovers for breakfast!

Day 12: Monday July 19, 2010

After the wedding, Chad and I really wanted to do a "tourist day". We have heard great things about the wild animal park and decided to try it out, even though it would be close to 90 that day.

The petting zoo was our first stop and maybe the best stop too!

Chad is the best daddy and took isaac to all the deer and tried to get him to pet the deer but isaac was not going for it.

Then we were on to cheetah visit at 1130 am. It took us forever to figure out the map, we walked up to the area 5 min late and the handler came right up to us and paused. So awesome! Score!

Next onto the safari tram, my favorite part because Isaac thought he was on a train, he was so stinkin' cute sitting and so excited. But he didn't last the 20 minutes. By the end, Chad and I were tag teaming how to entertain a 2 year old on a moving train? Answer....crackers.

Next we walked to see the lions, which had the largest male lion I have ever seen, and elephants. We had the most overpriced yucky lunch ever, with 2 sodas that didn't come with straws or lids, so I couldn't walk around with it. This really irritated me! They said it was because it was harmful to the animals. But they did sell non-disposible straws for 7.00. Ridiculous:)

On our way out of the park, we were pleasantly surprised by a meet and greet with an armadillo. How cool.

Day 11: Sunday, July 18, 2010 Riverside California

Relaxing family day again at my Aunt Judy's house (my dad's sister). My parents were staying in San Jacinto with my grandparents. They came over again in the am and played in the pool and visited until they had to leave for the airport at 1 pm.
