continuing on so i don't forget all we have done.....
day 5: Waimea Canyon and dinner with Kalena and friends at Duke's
day 6: Plan was for hideaways and ke'e beach but got out the door too late and no parking:( ended up at tunnels and saw another monk seal in the water. Got some late night pu pu's at Oasis at our condo.
Day 7: Golfing at Wailua Municipal Course. It rained before we got there and was incredibly humid. Pool time and I went down backwards...the a mai tai...yummy!
Day 8: Attempt at hideaways. Got there at 0915 and snagged the last parking spot. We braved a steep climb down to a beautiful beach "hideaway". It was a little too rough of snorkling for us. We stayed for about an hour. We knew we would be too late to get a prime spot and ke'e, which is at the tip end of the road north....so we just stopped at tunnels and snagged a primo spot close and knew it was where we were supposed to be that day...AND we found the coral on the left was much more colorful than where we had been snorkling...saw another beached seal...and left around 330 pm. We came back home cleaned up and went to oasis again, now for happy hour. thai martini for me and pu pu's (our favorite the potato fingerlings with a hollandaise sauce...YUM! We walked to safeway to get some vino for muwah and redbox movie.
Plan for remainder days....
Day 9: Gonna make it ke'e beach...it's known for turtles:)
Day 10: Waimea Canyon
Day 11: go home:)
