So on February 13, Natalie turned 8 months. I have been meaning to write some of the things she has been doing.
Eating:
She still breastfeeds, but only 4 times per day! 07-11-15 and bedtime around 7 or 8 pm.
She eats like a champ. Breakfast, lunch and dinner About a jar of food each time. We add mashed avocado, banana, oatmeal to the baby food sometimes. I really want to puree food, but just haven't had the time to steam and puree. But I will definitely be adding fresh stuff in the next month.
She can handle little puff type finger food. Her pincer grasp is getting much better...she used to just grab with her fist and shove it in her mouth.
Play:
She is still an awesome content little one...She likes to roll around, especially on her stomach and can get up on all fours. She babbles a bit more and can imitate...I shake my head, she will do it too. She can clap her hands sometimes and she can sometimes say ma-ma. But she is pretty quiet. I really work on her babbling, because Isaac was so late talking. But I am definitely not concerned at all. She is really just perfect the way she is.
Sleep:
I got an early riser:(
She wakes up in the 6 am hour. BUT...she is happy to just roll around and talk in bed and I go up to get her after 7 am. But like today, she talked at 630 then went back to sleep and is still asleep at 730! We are moving towards 2 naps per day, but sometimes she is tired at 5 pm, so she goes down for a little catnap.
Natalie's Day...
7 am: Wake up/Breastfeed
8 am: Breakfast (favorite prunes/applesauce and oatmeal)
9 am: Nap
11 am: Breastfeed
12 pm: Lunch (favorite sweet potatoes and oatmeal)
130 pm: Nap
4 pm: Breastfeed
6 pm: Dinner (favorite avocado!)
630 pm: Bath
730: Breastfeed Bedtime
She had her first big chest cold and did very well...but we discovered she has quite a healthy gag reflex, when she coughs really hard, or gets into a coughing spell, she will throw up. She recovers quite well...it's so sad to see. Interesting to see her personality already and specific idiosyncrasies that are so different than Isaac. I just never thought of two kids being so different, but they are!
Isaac and Natalie take baths together and I love it. She splashes and splashes so hard and laughs.
She is a bit more emotional than Isaac, like with new people, or when she is tired. But her smile and affection more than make up for her moods.
I love her....and am sad that she is already 8 months...Thank goodness she isn't a go-getter and crawling yet...I am really enjoying her just like this:)
oh...she's awake:)
Pics to come...

on all fours...beginning stages of crawling.
Natalie hanging out....7.5 months...and pushing her self backwards. It's so funny, she is always in the corner of the room...one foot shoved in a couch, underneath a table. against the wall:)

Seattle and back home...
a really bad picture of the seattle public library. It's actually a beautiful building. But i AM a sucker for libraries.
I had a conference in Seattle that I like to attend and haven't been for 2 years....so I got approved (I have 2 conference days per year) and packaged the kids and Chad:) and had a great 2 days up north.
This is the spot where we got accosted by a mentally ill woman that wouldn't leave us alone and stood at our stroller and refused to move. Chad stepped in between her and the kids. I called the police and she finally left us alone. Maybe it was our huge orange loaner stroller that set her off. Who knows?
Natalie is able to sit up on her own without a pillow behind her. She also knows how to pull her toys out. So cute. She is growing up so fast.
the Most Important person in Isaac's life...Buzz Lightyear.
Florence, Oregon: jan 7-9, 2011
Brad's family has a cabin in Florence Oregon....which we are so blessed to have visited beginning of January. It is always wonderful to have those friends that are life-er's and that's what these guys are. And while it's hard to be the first ones in the group to have kids...it's so awesome for our group to love on them and for our kids to bond with our friends, as well.

Brad feeding Natalie...ahhh! he thought I was messy feeding her, so I said give it a try:)
I don't have many other pics because after Chad and the group went to the casino friday night and played ping pong, chad woke up under the weather on saturday with a stomach bug. He was literally in bed all day. He felt better on Sunday...but I was basically was running the show without my main man.
