Great Grandma and Natalie (my dad's mom)

We hung out with the family and had more....pool time, you know it!
great saturday fun.

Day 9

Day 9: July 16, 2010 Riverside, CA to Temecula, CA
Wedding Day

Started the day, walking to Kohls, and picking out this dress. It's okay and it was on sale and it fit. Nothing like not fitting in any of your clothes. Oh yeah, I had a baby 5 weeks ago~
My mom and me

5 pm and over 100 degrees. YIKES!

Day 8

Day 8: July 15, 2010
Carpenteria, CA to Riverside, CA (our final destination:))

Leaving our fabulous best western...NOT! hey the pool was even closed for the exact dates we were there.

One of our favorite ideas...the rolling carts. it's so nice to only make one trip. And this time we added Isaac.

Other favorite ideas we have come up with is having a pacifier in the front seat and in the carseat, because Natalie loves to lose her paci on the freeway and it stinks to have to look for it.

another favorite idea is to use hotwire for all our hotels and "day of" reservations have given us the best deals.

another favorite...i bagged all of isaac's clothes by day, so I only had to get one set of clothes when checking into the hotel... that had shorts, shirts, socks and pj's. I had his swimwear in a bag too. I did this all the way until riverside where i could do laundry. Natalie- I arranged her clothes by style, onesies, sleepers, outifits, blankets. I would just grab from the car and fill the diaper bag for a few days.

another favorite idea...when isaac says he wants to watch nemo, don't put in mr. incredible because he will just scream and whine until finding nemo is in and it's alot better for the whole family when isaac is a happy camper!

We arrived to Riverside at my Aunt Judy's house at around 130 pm. Visited the bride (my cousin Jennifer) and met her bridesmaids. We decided to not go to rehearsal dinner (2 year old at a winery, nah!) we jumped in the pool and enjoyed a great evening in a 4000+ sq foot house. Practically a mansion, compared to our previous nights.

Day 7

Wednesday July 14, 2010: Monterey Bay, CA to Carpenteria, CA

Monterey Bay Aquarium
After checking out of our hotel, we kept the car in the garage, and walked to the aquarium from the hotel.
Isaac touching the star fish
Mommy and 2 kids lasted about 15 seconds, enough time for Chad to take a picture. Isaac was refusing to walk. Argh! back to the stroller you will go!
Ooohhhhh the jelly fish, relaxing.

I love his little head in this picture...
I call this the finding nemo area. There was a dory and nemo in the tank.
This was a toddler area and isaac flew (unintentionally) across this trampoline that was like a water bed, and then he wouldn't do it again
Back at the hotel, waiting for our car
On our way to southern california, isaac got ahold of the camera and decided to take a self portrait:)
rounding the corner to the OCEAN!

We drove through santa maria, santa barbara and stopped in Carpenteria. Cute little beach town. We were so tired, we didn't explore at all. We had dinner at the hotel (best western) and had the worst service and food ever, but what do you expect? I couldn't wait to leave this hotel and head to my aunt's the next day. Our family was DONE with hotels after this night!

Day 6

Tuesday, July 13, 2010: San Francisco to Monterey, CA

Leaving the Westin, not too impressed with this 4 star
Isaac and Woody

In route to monterey, a new favorite past-time of isaac's
disgusting:(
As you can see, the duct tape needs to be adjusted, one arm has made it through!
AND...back to barney dvd:)

We didn't get out of San Fran area as early as we wanted, so in route we decided to go to the aquarium the next day instead. Our hotel wasn't ready when we got into town, so Chad had another great idea to do some laundry. It was sooooo fun, serious. The washer costs 5.50 but only took 18 minutes. The dryer costs about $3.00 and took 25 minutes. We had fun and isaac ate peanut m&m's for the first time and sucked on the green one and had a really green mouth.

Checked into hotel and off to walk around the hotel.
This one is for you mom and dad! (sailboat)

Dinner at the hotel and isaac in one of the best moods ever! We had such a fun time at schooner's grill.
View from table.
Me and natalie, whatta pair!
isaac loves holding natalie, he is very sweet to her. She is too big for the newborn size clothes, as seen by this belly shirt. But i didn't bring much 0-3 months clothes. I didn't know she would have such a growth spurt.
off to the aquarium tomorrow:)
