Feeling Inspired

Tonya and Will

Rare photo of Anne and Isaac

I like this one cuz Will is such a 2 year old and running in the background. Also, I think it's funny you can see the top of Isaac's head on the right. Thank goodness he has a huge noggin, what would we have done if he wasn't in a picture?

Pointing to the flowers.

Isaac and Ella Jewell hanging with the tools.

I found out what to get Isaac for his 1st birthday...A flower table with matching chairs. He pointed to each one of these flowers. And he talked to them too.

Ella is only 8 months, she's such a girl, showing off her advanced skills to Isaac. They played really well together. Can't wait till they can both walk!

Budding Friendship!
I got to hang out with Tonya today in Corvallis. What a treat!
I have got a list of things to do now that I have been inspired from her....
1. Run More..she has a 2.5 year old and an 8 month old and is training for a half marathon. I dropped out of my half marathon training 2 weeks ago, when I got sick (Okay my training consisted of running 2 times, 3 miles) but am ready to get back into it, for real this time. Sprint Triathlon here I come.
2. Swim Baby class...especially since we will be going to Hawaii in July...Isaac has only been in the bathtub and dipped his feet at timothy lake. I would like to give him a little more exposure to water.
3. Mommy and me classes at the community college.
4. Read to Isaac nightly...He is such a squirmer, but i need to try a little harder.
5. Get a cute new haircut.
Better get going, I have lots of stuff to get to.

Hugs all around!

Isaac with Poppa in his Sunday Best Outfit.
Don't worry, you will see this one again on Easter, maybe even his bday if it still fits.

Isaac not feeling as well today.

Feeling better with Grammie!

The Birthday Girl and her little man...

Just an extra one for fun.
We just got back from my parents house to celebrate jessamyn's birthday. We had a great time playing games and eating. It was a good first adventure for chad since he got pneumonia last week. It was the sickest I have ever seen him. Isaac got a taste of it, fever, aches and pains but not nearly as bad. We are lucky to be all better now. Ready to get back into routine of work and play. No more sickness allowed!!!

Daddy's Dancing Baby

Isaac dances a lot when music comes on, so this isn't the best that he's done, but still pretty cute.

Is this torturing him or just plain fun?

Isaac getting comfortable with the helmet and goggles. Just think in 3 years, he could be up on the slopes too!

Look at that belly!

Plain Fun!

Isaac is back to sleeping through the night. Yeah!!!! He is up at 06 ish but that is fine with me. Better than midnight, 2, 4 and 6. Must have been a growth spurt/teething. His top teeth are going to pop through any day now. Chad and I had an awesome weekend...On Friday we went up to 23rd and ate at a pizza joint, Triumphs. Chad had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and said it was the best one he has ever had. The pizza was so-so. I finally found a wood puzzle for Isaac at a toy store. It was kinda expensive but I splurged anyways. Saturday we cleaned out the garage and went over to an ex coworkers house and watched Chad win the pot in poker. It was great. Paid for that wooden puzzle! Sunday we had my parents watch Isaac and we went up snowboarding. Paid for that too! Not really but some of it. It got really foggy so we had to leave around 2pm. But we got a lot of good runs in. Chad made me get a snowboard last week and it is great. I love having my own stuff and not having to rent anymore.
Last but not least. Monday morning arrived with a serious case of gastroenteritis (stomach flu). I haven't been at work since last Monday, so it's not noro-virus. I am going to blame it on the subway breakfast burrito in Clackamas Oregon. Stay away!!!!
I was on the couch, bathroom and bedroom all day yesterday. Chad had to come home because I was a wreck. I am feeling a 100% better now.
That's all for now.
It's going to rain all week, try to stay dry!

Roberta, Jack, Bonnie, Isaac and Abe

Roberta had another bag of hand me downs. We decided this red hat was the cutest so we left it on. It will be perfect for beach/camping trips this summer.

Abe posing for the camera.
Last week, I went over to Roberta's house for a playdate. Roberta watched Isaac while I went to a meeting a work. When I came back, it was fun to hang out with Bonnie and her boy Abe. They are nearly 2 years apart between the three. Isaac played by himself but had a lot of fun with all Jack's toys.

New Title: Robe Time

Okay...so the old title is gone...welcome to chili's is what the lady on the tv is saying in closed captioning. On my computer it shows up so clearly but obviously got lost in translation to the blog.
My attempt at wit...failed.

Gently, sitting on the floor. He is much better at this now. He is more controlled.

Showing off his belly for you all.

The sleeves are so short, he has massive forearms.

Isaac does this move where he moves his head to the side, then all the way over to the other side. He is always in a really good mood if he does this.

Tang

There are lot's of reasons I like this video...
1. It shows Isaac crawling.
2. It shows his favorite song (Tang-from Camp Kuratli, even though I sang it wrong, I realize this-ED!)
3. It shows him talking and being cute.

The reason's I don't like this video...
1. It's too long
2. Sadie, my dog, gets in my face and lays on me, behind the scene, it's so distracting.
3. I sang the wrong words to Isaac's favorite song.

Well, nothing much going on in my neck of the woods. Isaac slept through the night for about a week and a half (except at Sun River), but now wakes himself up about 3 times a night, but falls back asleep about 10-15 minutes later. Still, it does stink having broken sleep after getting a hint of a full night for a week and a half. But he is sooooo darn happy during the day, so it definitely makes up for it.

I am also almost done with book 3 of the twilight series and am like.. come on... are you serious? but it is listed as a juvenile series at costco, so it puts it in perspective. Then, i am like this is fabulous!
Lots of love!!!!!

Crib Stages

I am always so proud of myself when I get in and do something very un-girly.
Isaac was sitting in his crib today when he woke up. First time. I don't understand why he hasn't picked up on this yet, but I am not complaining. He always just lies there and says "aaahhhh, aahhhhh" Which means I'm awake, come get me. But he stays on his back and just kicks his feet. But this morning, he decided to put it all together and sat in his crib with less "aaahhh" and more happy sounds. So, I jumped in (not literally, but like jumped in to perform this task) and lowered his crib to the lowest stage. It will only be a few more weeks until he figures out he can stand up in his crib, just like he can everywhere else in the house.

He looks so much older in this picture.
9 1/2 months...

After he eats breakfast, I take off his sleeper because it is usually a sticky mess and let him play a little in the buff.

Demolishing his toys while I lowered his crib.

It's funny, I used to just set out a few toys for him to play with, but last week I had him dig in and he always goes for his favorites.
This is a chime toy that my friend Roberta gave him. Roberta had special toys from her 2 little ones she wanted to hold onto, but she held out for me!! What a great friend. She gave me a bottle warmer, that is a must have in Chad's opinion. A kelty kids backpack, the one that dan uses a lot, it's super nice! This chime toy and a mother's nature sling wrap. It's really in good condition too. Isaac didn't like the sling too much, so I am hoping to use it for the future Barr babies. But he does love, love, love this chime toy.

Correction

"Sike" is actually spelled like "psyche" according to my bro Dan. He is a credible source as he's a skater and grew up in the late 80's early 90's. We also did a little more thorough google search.

Having fun in Sun river.
Peace out!

No new photos

SIKE!
I have never spelled the word "Sike" I looked it up on google and there are many entries the same as mine...How do you spell "Sike"
Anyways, I haven't taken any pics of Isaac.... but Dan, Jes and Gio did. So here you go.
I have done a lot lately too. Visited Terese and Noah, work, my dad, Christi and Jeff and kids and no camera. Crazy.

Isaac up on the tram with uncle dan

Going on the Tram!

Family Pic

I forgot Isaac's jacket, so Jessamyn dug into Gio's old stuff and got him into this red number. Isn't he dashing?

I like this photo because Dan described it to me when I saw him later that night. This is where the aerial tram delivered them, a nice area and a sculpture of a mother and baby, so Dan took a picture next to it. Uncle and baby. Hey, it works, kinda?

Isaac had his 9 month check up.
Stats
Weight: 20 pounds 14.5 oz. Teetering on 21 pounds. 50th percentile
Height: 28 7/8 inches 60th percentile
Head Circumference: 18 5/8 75th percentile
He is pretty medium sized baby with a slightly large head that has such cute hair.
Well, we are off to Sun River, Oregon for the weekend. We rented a house and my parents and Dan, Jes and Gio are coming. We plan on skiing/snowboarding all day Saturday and relaxing and drinking wine in the hot tub on sat night.
Can't wait.
